Affiliate Program FAQ

What counts as a "new paid subscription"?
A referred user's first paid invoice for Developer ($19/mo), Builder ($79/mo), or Team ($499/mo). The trigger is invoice.payment_succeeded — not account creation, not trial activation, and not card verification. A user who signs up free in January and upgrades in March triggers your commission in March.
Do Free-tier referrals generate cash commissions?
No. Free-tier referrals generate zero revenue for AGENSTAB, so they generate zero cash commission. However, every Free-tier referral counts toward your quarterly volume target (Subs / Quarter), helping you unlock higher rate multipliers (e.g. 1.25x or 1.50x) for your paid referrals.
What is the attribution model and cookie duration?
We use a 60-day cookie window with a Last-Click attribution model. This means the affiliate whose link was most recently clicked before the user signs up will receive the commission.
Can my commission rate go down after a QPR?
No. Rates established at QPR-1 are the floor for QPR-2. A bad quarter does not reduce your rate below what the previous QPR set during the contract period.
Do I keep earning on referred users after my contract expires?
No. Renewal commissions cease when your contract expires. Referred users who continue paying after expiration don't generate commissions — which is why renewing your contract matters.
When and how do I get paid?
Commissions enter a mandatory 14-day holdback period immediately after the user's invoice is successfully paid. Once the holdback clears, the commission becomes payable. Payments are issued Net-30 after each quarter closes. The minimum payout threshold is $50. Unpaid balances roll over. We support payouts via PayPal, Wise, or direct bank transfer (SWIFT/ACH).
What happens if a referred user disputes a charge or gets refunded?
If a charge that generated a commission is disputed or refunded, the commission is clawed back. If the commission hasn't been paid out yet, it will be cancelled. If it has already been paid, the amount will be deducted from your next payout batch.
Can I refer myself or my own company?
No. Self-referrals and referrals of affiliated entities (e.g., a company you own or are employed by) are strictly prohibited and will not generate commissions. Such actions may lead to account suspension.
Are there tax requirements for receiving payouts?
Yes. U.S.-based affiliates must submit a valid W-9 form before their first payout. International affiliates must submit a W-8BEN. You are responsible for any taxes owed on your affiliate earnings.
